The Italian Ambassador receives the President of the Human Fraternity Foundation

Italian Embassy in Egypt - September 1, 2022

His Excellency Michele Quaroni, Ambassador Italy in Egypt, received Monsignor Dr. Yoannis Lahzi Gaid, President of the Human Fraternity Foundation for Services and the former Personal Secretary of His Holiness Pope Francis. His Excellency expressed his appreciation for the charitable projects carried out by the Human Fraternity Foundation in Egypt, such as the Bambino Gesù Women’s and Children’s Hospital, the Oasis of Pietà Orphanage, and the Human Fraternity School for the disabled. They are all projects that serve all those in need without discrimination.

The Italian Consul General in Cairo, Dr. Chiara SAULLE, participated in this meeting. Monsignor Yoannis Gaid invited the Ambassador and the Consul to visit the New Administrative Capital and see the projects that the Foundation is undertaking on the ground.

It is worth mentioning that the Human Fraternity Foundation works in Egypt in cooperation with the Italian Bambino Gesù Association. The two institutions are established on the principles of the Human Fraternity Document signed by His Holiness Pope Francis and His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb in Abu Dhabi on February 4, 2019.
